Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are given the guideline to avoid large public events (of 150 or more). It is our understanding that FICC’s Sunday Services do not fall into this category. So at this time we do plan to hold our normal FICC activities this Sunday afternoon.
However, we suggest that if you or your child are ill to please stay home and watch our online streaming. I was notified that the ACC facilities team will have thoroughly cleaned all restrooms and touch points (doorknobs, handles, faucets, handrails, etc.) You may bring your own antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizers. We ask that handshakes be refrained from, and hugs and other touching. In lieu of this one can use Holy Spirit fist or elbow bumps or foot shakes or just plain nods and smiles. And please continue to follow the guidelines of frequent hand-washing and not touching your face.
Let us all be serious about this threat and be responsible in protecting ourselves and families by doing the necessary precautions, but not to over-react. Let us remind ourselves that God does not want us to be overcomed by fear and panic on what this virus could do to us, but by the fact that He is in control of everything, even our own existence on earth. He placed you here for a purpose, and will take you with Him when it’s time -- in His time!
Let’s look at this situation as a special God-given opportunity for us to serve Him, serve the people, and be a witness. (Ezekiel 33:8-9).
God bless you all!
